THE THRYBERGH PLAYERS A presentation by Mollie Uttley [ nee
Drabble ] |
|
The group is Thrybergh Players in 1950,
The name of the play on the photo is not known, but this group tended to do
a lot of J. B. Priestly.

Local Theatre Groups have a well established history
throughout the British Isles, they provided entertainment, and also raised
funds for many a worthy cause. The players themselves would take great pride
with each production, and it is amazing how they produced backdrops, props,
and period costumes on often a non existent budget. As can be seen on the
programme kindly sent in by Mollie Uttley, a nights entertainment could be
had for two bob in the 1950's.

Geoff Walker of Thrybergh was a member of the Thrybergh players in the 1950's and has kindly sent along the following two photos, and if anyone can help with the identity of the people below it would be greatly appreciated.
