The above photo kindly contributed by Mick Carver is
of the team in 1972 when they went to Belgium. Although it was the Davy Lamp
Team some of the players are from Dalton. Others are from Stocksbridge. The
people known so far are as follows. Starting on the back row, the first 2 stood up left to right are brothers the first is Pete Chadwick, but I can't find out his brothers name with the sun glasses on. Next with the shirt and tie is Harrold Medlock he was a referee, he also ran coaches from Park Lane. Next towards the right again with dark glasses is a lad I used to work with (like me not a footballer) called Peter Coulson he was from Leeds, Next along is Rodger Harry, then Dave Winfindale, next to Dave is Pete Oldfield from Rawmarsh. Then the lad with his face half hidden is John Thomas. The tallest guy right at the very back played professional football for Grimsby but I can't get to know his name. Also I haven't been able to identify any of the girls one of them was Dave Winfindales girlfriend ( not long after returning from this trip Dave was very badly injured in a car crash).
