1900 Edith Butler was born at Wakefield and with her brother Ernest went to live in Ravenfield with their grandparents, William and Annie Butler when both their parents died when she was less than 1 year old.   Their sister Lilley went to live with their paternal grandparents John and Mary Stacey also in Ravenfield.

1901 My Grandmother Elsie Goodwin nee Butler was born in Ravenfield on 01/01/1903.She was actually born at midnight as the bells were announcing New Year, in a barn. Her parents were George and Alice Butler (who were in Ravenfield at the time but presumably homeless although I don't know this) Alice's maiden name was Halifax.

William Bray was age 23 living at Moorlands  Ravenfiled when he signed on at Silverwood as a Driver in March 1925 he had previously worked at Greens farm

John Turner was age 39 living at Ravenfield Common when he signed on at Silverwood as a Collier in February 1926 he had previously worked at Rossington

H. Senior was age 2 living at Springfield ? house Ravenfield when he signed on as a Ropeman in October 1926 he had previously worked at Maltby main
Herbert Cawthorne was age 17 living at New  ? bungalow Ravenfield when he signed on as a Driver in October 1926

Jos? Barnes age 43 was living at 3 Moorlands Ravenfield when he signed on at Silverwood as a Collier in August  1927, he had previously worked at Thurcroft Main

Joseph Hind was age 45 living at 5 Moorlands Ravenfield when he signed on at Silverwood as a Stoneworker in January 1928, he had previously worked for Johnsons Builders

John Waller was age 17 living at 1 Moorlands Ravenfield when he signed on at Silverwood as a Driver in January 1928, he had previously worked at Maltby main

Thomas Waller was age 41 living at 1 Moorlands Ravenfield when he signed on at Silverwood as a Stoneworker in February 1928 he had previously worked on the surface at the mine
